So, it's been a while since I posted. I apologise to anyone who was following. Moving in was crazy. And knowing where to start is overwhelming. We quickly arranged blinds, clothesline, letterbox and driveway.
But we have some major issues that have prevented me from posting anymore pics. I will be listing these in the next day or so, as they are part of the building "journey".....

Update June 2 - lots of pics!
So, I've been crazy busy packing and preparing and not blogging!
We love the tiling so far. We love the paint colour - its stonebridge, and the electricians have done a great job at the small amount of work they have done! One of my first changes will be changing the white power points on the blackglass splash back to black.
So here are some pics! After all, thats what we all want to see right?
Firstly the tiling in bathrooms, laundry, patio and terrazzo! They look fantastic.

Then the painters arrived - they were around for six days or so, after that the electricians were there! There has been a misunderstanding and at this point most of our lights have not been installed - we are working to rectify this. My advice would be to get EVERYTHING written down. The crappy three lines in our tender is useless. We have wiring that there is no mention of anywhere - why would we have wiring that has not been discussed or paid for? Our argument is that it was drawn into the diagram but not written down in words. And why would we ask for wiring but not install when we dint even know its an option! So now we need to find more money to get the lights installed!

Bathrooms tiled, painting
Quick update!
The bathrooms and laundry are tiled, they look amazing. I am really pleased with them. Also the patio and terrazza! Will get to pics when I get a chance!
The roller door went on Wednesday, it looks gorgeous, I love it!
The painters prepped to spray the ceiling yesterday. So they should be onsite, today- Saturday! Will call past later today.
Finally - I know why people pay pele to pack! Yuck, yuck, yuck. So much stuff for a house of five!

Another week closer
Last week it seems like not much happened.
After the stone went in, we waited for the tiles to arrive.
I noticed that the skirts have been installed - not sure when or by whom!
The pantry door has been square set.
The garage internal door has been flipped so it now opens into the garage - yay, thank you to my ss for that one.
The tiles turned up on Thursday, as did the cornice man - the slowest one in the country it seems. The tiler turned up on Friday to do the bathrooms, already a week late, but left as they weren't ready for him!
We went by on Sunday morning to discover that the cornice man hadn't done much! but there has been lots of deliveries of toilets, bath, sinks, basins, laundry tub, bathroom tiles, sand, tile glue.
Now we just wait - we can't get in as we reached lock up about two weeks ago. I can wait to see what the tiles look like in the bathrooms!

Fix out
The fix out tradies arrived yesterday to do all the door jams and doors.
The cornices and architraves are still on the garage floor where they have been for two weeks.
The front door is on! The wrong door was delivered but we are going to keep it! We had originally asked for frosted glass and this one is clear. And it's a gorgeous wooden frame, I am told it's maple, but we are painting it charcoal. So it's a waste of a gorgeous door really! I will endeavour to get some better pics, but we are expected to be locked out today!
The kitchen island has also been fixed, so the drawers are in the correct place now, but there is still a door missing and the extra work to install push button openings has not been done.

Kitchen install
The kitchen has been installed, except the stone top. And some of it is in the wrong place, some of the cupboards are scratched. Overall I am quite disappointed. I love the layout and the size, just not the workmanship!
Here is the kitchen from the dining room
The island bench, these drawers have been put in the wrong place - they need to go in the middle of the island.
Our kicker for the ducted vac in the kitchen
The standard cabinet for the main bathroom
The standard vanity in our ensuite
I will post more pics when the kitchen island has been fixed!

Gyprock!
The gyprock arrived on Tuesday April 8!
Two blokes took it off the truck one sheet at a time! But that means it has finally arrived, after waiting almost two weeks.....
The gyprockers started on Friday April 11. They completed the ceiling and two walls! The kitchen wall and the side garage wall! No pics as it's too hard to get them...lol
They are onsite again today, so we are hoping to see some more walls later today!

Eaves and insulation
I haven't posted for some time as we got rained out! Last week our bricks were completed as much as could be. This week we have had a site clean!
The remainder of the bricks were laid above the roller door.
The insulation of external walls was completed today.
Also the eaves were completed today.
Some pics.......

Rough ins......
Today has been busy! The brickies turned up today for day 6, all that is left to do is the piers inside the garage and the bottom of the windows, and the back pier. Today should have been their last day but the rain poured down at 9 am, so they packed up, and I don't blame them. They had removed another brick from my front pier too. It has rained all day.
When I went for a look the electricians were onsite, three of them, doing the electrical rough in.
Later in the day, john called to say that the plumber was also onsite again.
So it's all happening!
These are all the cables in the kitchen wall.
Yesterday we went to the display village at Kellyville. Wow, it's huge. We went through a few homes. The new two storey edgecliffe is lovely.. If I was to build a two storey it would be that one! Whilst there we noticed a lovely kitchen that had white cupboards, black bench and black splash. We love it. So I called my SS T, this morning to ask if it was too late to get a black splash. He said he could not see why not. I emailed the person in the office, who i am supposed to contact for everything. Her response was terse and not very accommodating. I let my SS know of the response and he made it his personal mission to ensure that we get our black splashback. He went to the BW office and got the required signatures to get my splashback colour changed. I'm not sure why so many people care or need to know what colour my splashback is,but that's how it is done!
A big thank you to T today. We will always think of T whenever we look at our black splashback! It didn't need to be so difficult, I'm thankful for his customer service skills. (Thankful with a couple of cartons of beer.....lol, which beer T?)

I always wondered how the electricity would be connected to my island bench, this is how!
